Welcome to Bryan’s Breakfast Blog
Thank you for taking the time to read and view Bryan’s Breakfast Blog (BBB). It is, and has been a passion of mine over a number of years to eat breakfast away from my home as there are many places to eat a good breakfast at reasonable and affordable prices.
My main driver was to find establishments that supply a hearty breakfast, not necessarily the biggest breakfast as I can no longer eat the ‘Gut Buster’, but a breakfast with quality ingredients, in a nice environment together with a quality cup of coffee. Price is important but not always the main factor – if the breakfast is well-cooked and nicely presented, and one has to pay a pound or two extra, then so be it.
Although I enjoy having breakfast wherever I am in the country, I eat most of my breakfasts within a 15 mile radius, so the template for this blog is in and around home. Whenever I travel I will also write about those experiences.
As well as the traditional ‘Full English’ I also really enjoy a cheese scone, with nothing else, no butter, no chutney, nothing, so I will be commenting on where to find the best cheese scone. However, when a lovely scone is eaten, it is generally freshly made on the premises, so the next batch may not be the same quality, or the same cook.
Within this blog I have included a section for golfers. Unfortunately, there are not many golf clubs where the public can turn up and have a good breakfast – these tend to be more via public golf courses, where there is a separate concession for catering. So as and when I visit a private golf course, where the public are allowed, I will make that comment.
