Glebe Farm Cafe
Location:
Glebe Farm Shop & Cafe is just off the westbound carriageway off the A14 Kettering, at junction 7, take the slip road then bear left down into the farm complex.

Entrance:
It is not very often that you enter a farm shop to be greeted by a lady that ushers you to your table, but it happened at Glebe Farm ….. how nice, we were then ushered to our table in this busy and atmospheric cafe.

Service:
I’m not quite sure how many waitress’e looked after us, but it was quite a few. Once we decided on our choice from the menu, I had to go back to the main counter to order and pay. The attention to detail by the staff was amazing as they were all doing their bit to make my wife and I very welcome. They did say the breakfasts would be along in a while, which was evidence that all the ingredients were freshly cooked.

Menu:
The menu was quite comprehensive with a good variety to choose from, we did arrive there a little late so had to choose from the ‘Brunch” menu which was not as comprehensive as the breakfast menu, but it was no problem as the menu showed exactly what we were both looking for.

On the Plate:
I ordered the Glebe Farm Breakfast which when it arrived looked amazing, with everything looking delicious, as at this point I was very hungry. For once I ordered scrambled eggs which turned out to be a great choice as they were really well cooked.

Everything on my plate was all cooked with fresh ingredients and all sourced locally, especially the bacon and sausages which were to die for. The baked beans were as usual in a little pot which were soon emptied onto the plate. There were also some fried potatoes (which I really do enjoy, I wish more venues would supply them rather than hash browns). Even the toast was proper bread and not the usual.

My wife decided on Eggs Benedict with mushroom, which she thoroughly enjoyed and also commented on how freshly cooked and lovely they were, especially the very tasty hollandaise sauce.
Coffee:
The coffee was really really good, very hot and full of flavour, I should have asked what it was exactly, but I’m afraid I forgot to ask, but it was also served in a decent sized cup.

Pricing:
My Breakfast Brunch was £7.99 with my wife’s Egg Benedict £6.55 with three coffees at £2.50 giving a grand total of £22.04
In Conclusion:
Glebe Farm Shop and Tea Room was probably one of the best breakfasts I have eaten in a while. It was a recommendation from a friend of mine as I would have never have found this amazing breakfast venue, it will certainly be one of my favourites when travelling westbound on the A14 at Kettering. As a bonus for me, it was lovely to have my wife along with me for a change.
